Define cross breed? You mean with like a crested gecko or day gecko?

From my understanding, you can't cross genus but you can cross species.
So looking at say a crested gecko:
Rhacodactylus ciliatus
and a leopard gecko:
Eublepharis macularius
They have different genus names (in italics) so they can't be cross bred.
But say a crested gecko
Rhacodactylus ciliatus
and a
gargoyle gecko
Rhacodactylus auriculatus
can be cross bred as they have the same genus name.
That is to say its possible but is not encouraged.

I've seen mating between Leo's and fat tails, but never the babies produced.
