My hatchlings I keep for at least 8 weeks. If they are not growing in leaps and bounds, I keep them longer. I usually go with my instinct for when I can handle them. I leave them pretty much alone for at least the first few weeks while they get used to things.

They're very fragile as hatchlings, but if you breed them, you obviously need to move them after they hatch. So to handle them on a very limited basis, you do what you gotta do.

But to ship them or sell them, I would recommend waiting until 15g+. They are very weak when under 10g, you risk losing them if you sell them that early. It's also disingenuous to sell them too young as breeders should know there's a chance a hatchling may not survive. If a hatchling gets past 15g there's a good chance it'll live, as that would mean it's eating and growing already.
