Hi All,

I'm going to buy some mealworms for my leopard gecko. The petshop sells a tub with what looks like wood shavings, but possibly oats. I believe the company name is Timberline. My question is do I transfer everything in the tub to a bigger tub and add carrot/apple/ lettuce to gut load? Or do I pick all the worms out of the wood/oats then place the worms in a container with food? Thanks for the help.

If they are wheat bran & oats, you can keep the bedding. You just have to take them out of the fridge once or twice a week, and feed them carrots/potato/apple, and replace the bedding with fresh oats / wheat bran if necessary. You keep them out for a day, then put them back in the fridge.

Normally you don't need to move them out of the container they come in.

We have mealworms in a small tub of wood shavings, of which we feed to Rango with plastic tweezers. We tried putting them in a bowl, but he wasn't interested. However, when we feed them to him via plastic tweezers, he gobbles them up immediately. He absoloutely loves them! Smile
